- TRETIN 0.025% CREAM contains Tretinoin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Retinoids. It is used to treat acne. It can also be used to treat wrinkles, skin spots and rough skin. Acne is defined as a skin disease involving inflammation of the sebaceous follicles of the face and upper body, characterized by lesions on the face, back, upper chest and shoulders. Before using TRETIN 0.025% CREAM, inform your doctor if you have any sunburn, sun sensitivity or any other skin problems. TRETIN 0.025% CREAM should be used in pregnancy only if specifically directed by your doctor. TRETIN 0.025% CREAM should be used with caution in breastfeeding women.

- Wash Your Hands: Begin by washing your hands thoroughly to remove any dirt or bacteria. Cleanse the Affected Area: Gently clean the affected skin with a mild or soapless cleanser, then pat it dry with a soft towel. Avoid using harsh soaps or exfoliants as they can irritate the skin.
- Apply the Medication: Use your fingertips to apply a small amount of the cream (approximately the size of a pea) in a thin layer as directed by your doctor. Typically, Tretinoin is applied once daily at bedtime. For liquid formulations, a gauze pad or cotton swab can be used to apply the medication.
- Wait Before Application: For some preparations, it’s recommended to wait 20 to 30 minutes after cleansing your face before applying the medication. This ensures your skin is completely dry, reducing the risk of irritation.
- Avoid Sensitive Areas: Do not apply Tretinoin to the inner lip area, inside the nose or mouth, or on skin that is cut, scraped, sunburned, or affected by eczema.
- Precautions
- Eye Contact: Avoid getting the medication in your eyes. If accidental contact occurs, flush your eyes with large amounts of water. Contact your doctor if eye irritation develops.
- Post-Application Handwashing: Wash your hands after applying the medication to prevent accidentally transferring it to your eyes or other sensitive areas.
